ZviZZer is a maker of machine paint correction and vehicle care, produced in Germany, that ties polishes, thermo polishing pads, coatings, waxes, shampoos and accessories into one matched system. The thread that connects it all is a colour code: pad hardness and polish cut are made readable through the same colour, from blue (the most aggressive) to green (the finest). One maker, one system that actually makes sense.

• One colour system across the whole polishing line. Five cut levels and five pad hardnesses share the same colour code: blue, red, orange, yellow, green. Detailing1's tip from the shop: The most common mistake with ZviZZer is trying to pick the cut level through the polish and treating the pad as an afterthought. In reality the two work together: the same polish cuts noticeably harder on a firm red pad than on a soft green one. If you think of the polish colour and the pad colour as a pair, you dodge the two classic mistakes — too little correction, or holograms from being too aggressive. ZviZZer is a German maker with roots in professional machine paint correction. Production sits in Germany, and the polishes are water-based, silicone- and solvent-free.

That background shapes the whole line. In polishing, the MC 3000 Medium Cut is the orange anchor. It corrects and polishes in one pass, hologram-free, and clears fine scratches, swirls and sanding marks from P3000 grit up. On protection, the Graphene Ceramic Coat sits at the top. The hexagonal graphene molecular structure forms a hard, water-repelling crystal shield on the paint that the maker says holds for 42 to 48 months or up to 40,000 km and works anti-statically against fine dust. Even the wash is set up as a deliberately chosen pair, not one do-it-all shampoo. The Allround Shampoo is mildly alkaline at pH 9.0 and meant for regular maintenance washes; it's gentle on existing wax, sealant or ceramic. The Sour Shampoo is acidic at pH 3.4 to 3.8 and lifts limescale and water spots — say, to bring back the beading on a coating. A mild one for everyday, an acidic one for decontamination — the same if-then logic as the polishing step.

The colour is the system, not just a label

The heart of ZviZZer is the colour logic that runs through the polishes and pads. A colour always stands for the same spot on the cut scale.

In polishing that means five graded cut levels: blue is Pre Cut and takes on deep scratches from P1500 grit, red is Heavy Cut from P2000, orange is Medium from P3000, yellow is Fine Cut against fine holograms, green is Ultrafine and finishes off with a wet-look finish plus built-in sealant. The same colour run applies to pad hardness: blue Ultra Hard, red Hard, orange Medium, yellow Soft, green Ultra Soft.

The practical value: you steer the aggressiveness with two dials that speak the same language. A one-step polish on a harder pad gives more cut, on a softer one more finish. Some products deliberately sit outside the colour system — the One Polish, say, as an all-rounder with no grade colour, where the severity comes down to the pad alone. That's not a break, it's the exception that proves the rule.

Alongside the colour, the thermo build is the system's second constant. The pads are made of open-cell, reticulated thermo foam with the cell membranes removed — that's what makes them air-permeable and temperature-stable. They lose only a minimal amount of cutting power during polishing and so last five to six times longer than standard pads. From the small 50 mm pad for mirrors and pillars up to the 165 mm pad for bonnets and roofs, the character stays the same — only the area changes.

The run starts with the wash and decontamination, where a clay pad lifts stuck-on particles the shampoo can't grab — think fallout rust and tree-sap residue. Then comes the correction: on deep defects a cutting polish in blue or red first, then the gloss build-up through orange, yellow or green. Only on corrected, degreased paint does the protection go on — a coating, a spray sealant or a wax.

What we see day-to-day, the order matters more than your favourite product. A coating locks in the current state and freezes swirls in place instead of removing them, so the polishing has to sit before it. On a test car with a dark bonnet we once watched that mistake happen the other way round — wax laid on too thick left grey streaks we had to work back out with a quick detailer. Less material, thinner film, clean buffing off — that's the lesson.

The machine choice stays manageable. Most polishes run on both dual-action and rotary; you typically spread at around 1,000 rpm and buff off at a higher speed with medium pressure. ZviZZer sits between hobby chemistry and a pure pro system

ZviZZer is fair to place: a system at pro level that still stays reachable for keen home users. It's neither a discount range nor a walled-off insider secret for detailing shops.

Its strength is how closed it is. Few other brands cover decontamination, graded polishing, a finish with sealant, coating, wax and maintenance care this seamlessly from one source. The thermo pad tech, with its heat dissipation and five-to-six-times pad life, is a real technical argument in the mix, not marketing.

But there are limits, and we'll name them. ZviZZer isn't a shoo-in for people who just want to spray and wipe — the polishing and coating system rewards clean prep and punishes sloppiness with high spots or holograms. The strongest ceramic is also sold without a stated hardness grade; the maker doesn't quote an official 9H figure, and no coating stops a stone chip.
