Heavy Cut polish for significant scratch correction in a 2-step system

The FLEX Cut-Polish PC-C is a high-performance abrasive polish for the first step of professional paint preparation. With its strong cutting performance, it removes medium to heavy scratches, reduces swirls, and optimally prepares the paint for a subsequent finishing polish. As part of a 2-step polishing system, it enables effective defect correction and forms the basis for a clear, high-gloss paint finish. In combination with the appropriate polishing machine and a suitable cutting pad, even heavily stressed paint surfaces can be visibly improved and professionally reconditioned.

FLEX Cut Polish PC-C – Maximum defect correction for the first step of professional paint correction

The FLEX Cut Polish PC-C is a heavy-hitting cutting polish for the first pass in a 2-Step system. It pulls medium to heavier paint defects out fast and leaves the surface ready for a finishing polish and maximum gloss.

FLEX Cut Polish PC-C is the no-compromise answer when you want to correct paint defects properly. As a classic heavy-cut polish it is step one in a professional 2-Step polishing system. With a cut rating of 5 and a gloss value of 2 it is built to knock back scratches, oxidation and clearly visible wear, and to prep the paint for the next polishing step.

Good paint correction always starts with reading the defects. When the paint shows deeper wash marks, swirls or dull patches, a finishing polish on its own will not get you there. That is where a strong cut polish earns its keep: it takes off a minimal amount of material, levels the surface and lays the groundwork for a clean finish.

  • Serious cutting power for visible paint correction
The PC-C is built to knock back medium to heavier defects reliably. Typical paint problems like swirls, scratches or dull patches are clearly reduced and the surface comes out evenly prepped.
  • The right base for the second polishing step
As the classic step 1 in the 2-Step system it leaves an even surface that you then refine with a finishing polish. What you get is a clear high-gloss finish with barely a hologram in it.
  • Stable working time and controlled cutting behaviour
Modern abrasive technology gives you an even polishing pattern and controlled defect correction. That means precise work – on dual action and rotary machines alike.

Heavy cut polish for scratch removal and paint defect correction

The heavy cut polish is the decisive first step in any serious paint correction. Where lighter polishes mainly chase gloss, a cut polish goes after the defects themselves. That is exactly what FLEX built the PC-C for: strong abrasives that visibly reduce scratches, swirls and oxidised paint.

Those abrasives work in a controlled way on the paint. During the pass they level the top layer of clear coat by a fraction and take the sharp edges off the scratches. Light then reflects evenly again, the scratches disappear optically and the paint reads clear.

Typical jobs are cars whose paint has taken a beating: automatic car wash marks, weathering, dull panels or older paintwork with obvious wear. A pure gloss polish will not cut it there – only real cutting power lays the base for a genuinely high-end result.

Dual action polisher and pad for maximum defect correction

You get the best out of it with a dual action polisher and a matching cutting pad. A heavy-cut polish works especially well with firmer foam pads or dedicated microfibre pads that add to the cut.

The combination of machine, pad and polish is what decides the outcome. A firm foam pad raises the mechanical bite, while a forced-rotation dual action machine keeps the correction even across the panel. That lets you work larger areas efficiently without laying holograms into the paint.

Prep the paint properly before you start. A thorough pre-wash, chemical decontamination and a pass with a clay bar make sure the polish is working on the paint and nothing else. Otherwise you drag dirt particles around and put fresh scratches in while you polish.

After the cutting step a finishing polish usually follows to refine the paint further. You will find perfectly matched finishing polishes in our range, along with quality polishing pads and extra-soft microfibre cloths for a clean wipe-down.

2-Step polishing system for professional paint correction

A 2-Step polishing system is one of the most effective methods in modern paint correction. The job is split into two clearly defined stages: first the defect correction with a strong cut polish, then the surface is brought to a high gloss with a finer finishing polish.

That approach has several advantages. Step one is fully focused on removing scratches, step two on pulling out maximum gloss. The result is a much clearer paint finish with sharp reflections and real optical depth.

On heavily used paint this two-stage process makes all the difference. A one-step polish can take out light defects, but it will not match the correction of a real 2-Step. That is why professional detailers reach for this method whenever the result has to be as close to perfect as possible.

With the FLEX Cut Polish PC-C you have exactly the right tool for that first, decisive polishing step. It visibly removes defects, prepares the paint for the next stage and lays the groundwork for a deep, clear finish.
